COVID-19 EFFECT: GLOBAL NURSING & HEALTH WORKER SHORTAGES AND CHANGING PATTERNS OF EMPLOYMENT AS A RESULT OF THE PANDEMIC

We are pleased to invite you to an ICN hosted webinar with special guests from the International Labour Organization (ILO) on 27 April at 14.00-15.30

COVID-19 EFFECT: GLOBAL NURSING & HEALTH WORKER SHORTAGES AND CHANGING PATTERNS OF EMPLOYMENT AS A RESULT OF THE PANDEMIC

Nursing shortages and expected retirements coupled with the COVID Effect are expected to lead to an estimated shortfall of 13 million nurses by 2030, putting the global nursing workforce under an intolerable strain. This webinar will present the ICN concept of HERO funds to address the issue of recruitment and explore opportunities and challenges for implementation. It will also discuss the ILO Nursing Personnel Convention which sets out education, employment and working conditions to attract and retain nurses. The webinar will consider whether the Convention needs updating in light of COVID-19.

Please register here for the webinar.
